CfA: Six Doctoral Positions at the Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology, University of Bielefeld, Germany

The Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology (BGHS) - funded by the Excellence Initiative of the German federal and state governments and Bielefeld University - is a joint institution of the Department of History and the Faculty of Sociology at Bielefeld University (Germany). The BGHS is a learning community of doctoral researchers and invites applications for:
 
Six doctoral positions with a maximum duration of 3 years starting 1 April 2017 
 
Description: We are seeking highly motivated researchers with genuine interest in an academic environment that fosters creativity through interdisciplinary exchange. Successful candidates are expected to conduct
research within the doctoral programme, and in the end receive the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in history or sociology. The BGHS promotes research in the fields of sociology, history, political science, social anthropology and didactics of social sciences in the research fields available at the BGHS.
 
Qualifications: Applicants should hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in sociology, history, political science, social anthropology or gender studies, Inter-American Studies (IAS) or History, Philosophy and Sociology of Science (HPSS); applications from related disciplines are welcome.
