Professor Adrian Ivan is the Vice-President of the Romanian Association of International Relations and European Studies and a Jean Monnet Chair Professor at the Faculty of History within Babes-Bolyai University, as well as the Director of the International Studies and Contemporary History Department of the same faculty.
As a professor in International Relations and European Studies, he earned a rich teaching and research experience. He currently teaches courses of International Relations and European Studies for the Bachelor Programs and Security Studies courses for both Bachelor and MA Programs. He is also the coordinator of three Jean Monnet Programs and of the ATLANTIS Project, as well as of other projects.
Among his most important recognitions there could be mentioned his membership of the Doctoral School at Universita Sapienza di Roma in the research field of European History, as well as being the Director of the Research Centre in European Governance „Altiero Spinelli” and a guest professor for universities such as the International University Institute for European Studies between 2000-2007.
He is an expert of the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and the president of the Committee for Political Sciences, Sociology, European Studies and Communication.
